Took a tour to Oak Alley Plantation.

Out of all the plantation tours, Oak Alley was said to be the least emotionally harrowing. I was planning on going for two plantations -- Oak Alley and Whitney but after the previous experience at French Quarter, I decided to just do one.

I enjoyed the breeze and the oak trees. I even hugged one.

Coincidentally, there was a group of artists on the lawn. I took a peak and saw that they're using watercolour and ink.

At the back of the plantation home are the slaves' quarters. It was a stark contrast to the opulence of the mansion. And the stories of their living conditions were at times too intense for me to handle.

Our bus driver had lots of trivias and stories. I chocked up when he said "You may have left your heart in San Francisco, but I hope you find it here in New Orleans."
